Job description

Inked Brands is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant at our Bowling Green, KY office!  The candidate will be responsible for providing accounting support to our Accounting Team, assisting with analytical activities to support financial reporting, managing inputs to the general ledger system, ensuring files are complete and maintained as needed, and handling support to complementary functions such as Accounts Payable. This position requires a proactive, analytical, and energetic mindset in addition to possessing strong communication skills and the ability to be detail-oriented.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

· Perform accounting functions to support multiple entities; Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations;  Perform month-end close procedures; Research, track, and resolve accounting issues.

· Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data to support the timely reporting of key financial information as required by supervisors.

· Understand and execute internal controls related to accountabilities; proactively seek opportunities to strengthen internal controls.

· Assist with the development of accounting procedures and recommend changes to improve processes.

· Process Accounts Payable following the department’s procedure and protocol process.

· Manage sales tax requirements for an eCommerce company.

· Assist with Vendor issues and payment questions while maintaining a professional character.

· Have the ability to direct concerns and/or errors to the appropriate department(s) within the company.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

· BA / BS degree in accounting or finance.

· 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance function preferred.

· Financial systems experience preferred.

· Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills along with basic Microsoft Office products

· Basic mathematical skills.
