Steven Larson is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in mechanical engineering and thermal analysis. Currently serving as an Instructor at Northern Illinois University since June 2017, Larson teaches courses in mechanical engineering at the Rock Valley College campus, focusing on computational methods, finite element analysis (FEA), and heat transfer. In addition, Larson has held significant roles such as Senior Engineer at Ingenium Technologies and Advisory Board member at SIU Mechanical Engineering & Energy Processes since 1994. Previous experience includes managing thermal and fluids analysis for aircraft electronics at Collins Aerospace and engaging in various thermal design and consulting roles at organizations such as Synerject LLC, SimuTech Group, and Lab126. Larson holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, specializing in Thermal Sciences, from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
