Merijn Olsthoorn has extensive experience in project leadership and innovation within the financial and technology sectors. Currently serving as Project Lead for Generative AI at ING since April 2018, Olsthoorn has driven strategic tooling innovations for Financial Crime Prevention. Previous roles at ING include CCO and Head of Commercial Team for Blacksmith RegTech, where tools for KYC policy configuration were developed, along with leadership positions in customer success and product management. Prior to ING, Olsthoorn held various roles in companies such as KAS BANK, TMG, MYLAPS Sports Timing, and Accenture, specializing in product development, corporate innovation, and strategy consulting. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology, a Marketing degree from SRM, and certification as a Scrum Product Owner.
