Curwin Samuels is an accomplished financial crime compliance and tax specialist with extensive experience in FATCA and CRS regulations. Currently serving at ING since November 2022, Curwin has held significant roles including FATCA/CRS External and Customer Tax Reporting Specialist at FirstRand Group, and Head of Regulatory Risk in the Chief Risk Office at FNB South Africa. With a solid foundation in tax compliance from positions at Absa Group, SARS, and the National Treasury of South Africa, Curwin has developed expertise in policy guidance, risk management, and technical oversight. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of the Western Cape and higher diplomas in tax from North-West University and the International Institute of Tax.
