Sylvia Kwakye is a skilled Text Systems Developer at the Legal Information Institute since December 2014, specializing in transforming legal texts into structured formats using text mining and natural language processing, as well as conducting machine learning experiments to enhance comprehension of legal documents. In addition, Sylvia serves as Chief Data Scientist at Infraclear since August 2019, focusing on simplifying analysis and management of complex legal agreements in infrastructure projects. Prior experiences include roles as a Graduate Research Assistant and Research Associate at Cornell University, where research was conducted at the Masters, Ph.D., and post-doctoral levels, and as a Research Engineer in the Computational Biology Group at DuPont. Sylvia holds a Ph.D. in Biological and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University and a B.S. in Engineering from Swarthmore College.
