Paul Smith has extensive experience in industrial operations and education spanning several decades. Currently a Buyer at OneSteel, Paul oversees the purchasing of manufactured and machined spares for various Arrium sites. Previously, Paul held roles such as Supply Officer Rod Mill, where responsibilities included vendor performance management, and Occupational Health & Safety Advisor at Port Kembla Copper, focusing on safe work systems and compliance. Paul also has teaching experience, having served as a Design and Technology Teacher within the NSW Department of Education and Communities, and has held various supervisory roles at BHP and Comsteel, where Paul managed production processes. Paul holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Science (OHS) from Western Sydney University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Design & Technology) from the University of Newcastle.
