João Miranda serves as the Engineering Director for Product Platforms at BancoBPI since April 2016, driving innovative software engineering practices and overseeing incident management with measurable results. Previously, João held leadership roles including Deputy Director of Engineering, managing 10 Scrum teams and overseeing business-critical applications in consumer finance and BPM. João contributed as an Agile Coach at Feedzai and played a pivotal role in the digital transformation as an IT Solutions Architect at BancoBPI. In addition to these roles, João co-organizes the DevOps Lisbon meetup to foster community engagement in DevOps and serves as an editor for DevOps at InfoQ, facilitating knowledge sharing through articles and interviews. Prior experience includes working at OutSystems as a Principal Software Engineer, leading DevOps initiatives, and a series of software engineering roles at Banco BPI and Megamedia, contributing to various software development projects. João holds a Licenciate in Software Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico.
