Sonya E. is a Postdoctoral Scientist at the US Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service since September 2021, focusing on advanced research applications. Previously, Sonya served as a Lecturer at Stanford University, where responsibilities included presenting topics on biology and supervising fungal culture labs. During a tenure as a Graduate Research Assistant at Stanford University, Sonya conducted research for a thesis on microbial community structure and mutualism. Early research experience includes positions at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and Mid Sweden University, where Sonya engaged in ecological and dendrochronological studies. Sonya began academic pursuits with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and English from St. Olaf College.
