Paolo Spagnolo serves as the Director at INFN Sezione di Pisa since September 2023 and has held various roles at CERN since September 1991, including Associated Member and Scientific Associate, contributing to data analyses and software development for experimental physics projects. As a Research Director and Senior Researcher at INFN since January 2002, Paolo leads the STAX Group focused on Dark Matter Axions Search and coordinates key scientific initiatives within the accelerators division. Founder of PlanetWatch from January 2020 to September 2023, Paolo previously worked as a consultant at Bain & Company. Earlier post-doctoral experience includes a Marie Curie Fellowship at Imperial College London. Paolo holds a Ph.D. in Particle Physics from Università di Pisa and has over 1000 publications with an h-index of 148.
