Alex Mattana has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Alex started their career in 1992 as a Process Engineer at Foster Wheeler, where they worked on process design projects for the petroleum industry.
In 1996, they joined IMS as a Project Manager and worked there until 1998. Alex then moved to Fluor in 1999, where they held various Project Management roles and gained global experience in executing projects in the pharma, chemicals, and oil and gas industries.
In 2009, Alex joined Aurora Algae as a Project Director. In this role, they managed government grants, led project development and execution, and oversaw engineering teams. Alex remained with the company until 2015.
In 2016, Alex joined Siluria Technologies as a Projects Director. Alex was responsible for engineering, commercial reactor design, EPC contracts, and overall project management. Alex played a crucial role in developing commercial scale projects and establishing strategic partnerships with clients. Alex served in this position until November 2020.
Currently, Alex holds the position of Project Development Manager at Infinium Holdings, Inc. In this role, they lead project development efforts for Infinium's electrofuels solution, which provides a net-zero carbon alternative to existing liquid fuels. The solution can be used in various transportation sectors and seamlessly integrates with current infrastructure.
Throughout their career, Alex has demonstrated expertise in project management, engineering, partnership development, and execution strategy. Their work experience showcases their ability to successfully lead and deliver projects in a variety of industries.
Alex Mattana received a B.Sc in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand from 1988 to 1991. Later, from 2004 to 2005, Alex pursued an MBA with a focus on Finance and Strategy from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
