Warren Sande is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in optical network engineering and product management. Currently serving as Sr. Director of XR Optics Applications Engineering at Infinera since August 2008, Warren leads a customer-focused product engineering team dedicated to addressing DWDM optical network challenges and enhancing support and quality processes. Warren also authored the book "Hello World! Computer Programming for Kids and Other Beginners," with its third edition released in Fall 2019, which focuses on teaching programming using Python. Previous roles include managerial and specialist positions at companies such as BreconRidge, Tropic Networks, Photonics Control, Accelight, and Nortel Networks, spanning responsibilities in hardware engineering and integration. Warren holds a B.A. Sc in Communication Systems Engineering from the University of Regina and a Diploma in Communication Arts from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
