Saira Butt, MD, FACP, FIDSA, currently serves as Chair of the Teaching & Learning Workgroup for the Infectious Diseases Society of America since March 2024 and is Director of the Infectious Diseases Clinic (Ryan White Clinic) and Section Chief of Infectious Diseases at Eskenazi Health since February 2022. Saira Butt has held the position of Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine and Program Director for the Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine since July 2016. Additionally, Saira Butt has been recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians since July 2021. Previous roles include Assistant Professor of Infectious Diseases and Associate Program Director for the Infectious Disease Fellowship Program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, as well as Director of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program and Director of Infection Control at Select Specialty Hospital from July 2011 to June 2016. Saira Butt earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago UTESA between 1997 and 2002.
