Recently retired from federal service, Rick Wilson served as an Executive Officer in the Defense Finance and Accounting Service, U.S. Department of Defense, providing communications and executive support for a Tier Two (two-star) Senior Executive Service (SES) billet. Wilson assists senior executives in support of the agency’s mission to provide world-class finance and accounting services to the Department of Defense as the Department undergoes a congressionally-mandated financial audit. Prior to joining the Defense Department, Wilson was the Deputy Chief of Staff and District Director for U.S. Representative Dan Burton of Indiana from 1993-2008. He oversaw a first-rate team of staff members in a geographically, economically and socially diverse district. Wilson’s team provided “solid gold” constituent service and supported billions of dollars of federal assistance and appropriations benefiting the communities and people of the district. Prior to joining the Congressman’s staff, Wilson served in the United States Army and is a veteran of the Persian Gulf War (1990-1991), where he was decorated by the governments of the United States, Emirate of Kuwait, and the Kingdoms of Saudi Arabia and Denmark for his service in that conflict.
