Peter Maling is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers with extensive experience in asset optimisation and competitive intelligence within the oil and gas sector. Currently serving as the Global Head of Asset Optimisation and Delivery Assurance at KBC, a Yokogawa Company, Peter directs initiatives aimed at enhancing competitiveness and facilitating decarbonisation across key asset optimisation solutions. Previous roles at BP included managing downstream competitive intelligence, serving as Business Development Manager at the Bulwer Island Refinery, and leading various refining and optimisation initiatives. Peter began a career with Texaco as a Student Process Engineer and holds a BEng degree in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough University.
