Juan S. Ordonez, PhD has a wealth of experience in the technology and engineering fields. From 2005 to 2017, they held various roles in different companies and universities. In 2005, they were an Engineer at IMTEK, University of Freiburg. In 2006, they were a Research Intern at the University of Newcastle (UON) in Australia. In 2008, they were a Researcher at UNSW Australia. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Product Development Engineer at CorTec and a Group Leader at IMTEK, University of Freiburg. In 2015, they were a Junior Fellow at the Freiburg Institute for Advance Studies on the topic of Reliability of Thin-film Microelectrodes for Neural Implants. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Senior Microfabrication Engineer Neuromodulation at Medtronic and a VP of Technology, Director Implant Technology, and Principal Materials Engineer at Indigo.

Juan S. Ordonez, PhD obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Microsystems Engineering from The University of Freiburg between 2003 and 2009.
