Debra Cox has worked as an artist for Saatchi Art since 2019, Arcangel Images since 2018, Indiewalls | Design With Art since 2017, Society6 since 2016, and Redbubble since 2016. Debra has also been a Fine Art Photographer for Nostalgic Perspective Photography since 2015. Additionally, since 2010 they have been a Sole Trader at Debra Cox Editorial Services, providing editorial services to businesses and individuals.

Debra Cox has a long and varied education history. Debra started their education journey at Fareham College followed by Portsmouth College of Art, Design & Further Education, where they obtained a RSA Vocational Preparation Distribution in General Computer certificate. Debra then went on to pursue a BA (Hons) in Art, Design & Media - Fine Art from the University of Portsmouth. Debra Cox also attended a OU Arts A102 Foundation Course, Summer School at the University of Reading. Additionally, they hold certifications from TEFL UK, Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP), Maple Publishing, Skillswise, PETA Ltd, PITMANS EXAMINATIONS INSTITUTE, Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) and Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP).
