Dana Canfield

Vice President Information Technology at Indianapolis Zoo

Dana Canfield is an experienced professional with a diverse work history. They held the position of Director of Information Technology at the Indianapolis Zoological Society from 2015 onwards. Prior to this, they worked at the University of Indianapolis for many years, starting as a Technical Support Lead in the Physics Dept. at Indiana University in 1995. While at the University of Indianapolis, Dana also held various roles, including Interim Director of Network & Systems Infrastructure, Senior Systems Administrator, and Systems Administrator. At the University, they were responsible for managing the Linux, Windows, and Network Administration staff and handling budgetary matters. They also played a vital role in the campus-wide computing infrastructure and managed the IT support desk, public computing labs, and residential computing. Before joining the University of Indianapolis, Dana owned a small computer repair business called Comquest, which later expanded to become the city's first modern Internet Service Provider. They sold both businesses after moving out of the city.

Dana Canfield attended Indiana University Bloomington from 1993 to 1997, earning a Bachelor of General Studies degree. The field of study for the degree is not provided.
