Samuel Rothstein is a skilled clarinetist currently serving as the Acting Principal Clarinet at the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra since September 2015, after holding roles as Assistant Principal and Bass Clarinet. Rothstein is a tenured member of the orchestra and has been an active representative on the Orchestra Committee for two seasons. Additionally, Rothstein hosts, writes, and produces The Candid Clarinetist podcast, which showcases interviews and discussions with prominent figures in the clarinet community. Previous experience includes serving as 2nd Clarinet, Assistant Principal, and Bass Clarinet with the Richmond Symphony from September 2013 to June 2015. Rothstein earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from Northwestern University, graduating in 2012.
