Shahin Rahbariasl has a diverse range of work experience. Currently, they are a Senior Software Engineer at Index Exchange, where they are involved in designing and implementing high-performance Golang services and APIs for managing billions of daily requests in an ad exchange system. Shahin also develops distributed low-latency systems and utilizes technologies like Ansible, Github/Gitlab, Aerospike, MariaDB, and MySQL.

Prior to their current role, Shahin worked as a Software Engineer II at Index Exchange. Before that, they worked as a Data Engineer at IBM, where they designed, developed, and delivered software solutions using cutting-edge technologies in an Agile environment. Shahin also resolved customer-reported issues by designing and unit testing code fixes.

Shahin has previous experience as a Full Stack Developer at Blockthrough, where they optimized data pipelines, developed real-time monitoring systems, and created dashboards and tools for publishers and client success.

In an academic setting, Shahin served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo. Shahin conducted research projects in the field of Information Retrieval and Data Systems, focusing on IR and HCI projects. Shahin also carried out user studies to evaluate user decision-making and cognitive processes during search tasks and relevance assessment.

In addition, Shahin worked as a Software Developer and Trading Products Associate at BMO Capital Markets, where they developed an analytics system and managed the development and maintenance of a client analytics website.

Shahin also gained experience as a Research Assistant at Ryerson University and Iran University of Science and Technology. Additionally, they served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Iran University of Science and Technology.

Earlier in their career, Shahin worked as a Software Developer at Rayan Dolphin Process Data and as an Instructor at Sobhan High School.

Shahin Rahbariasl completed a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Software Engineering at Iran University of Science and Technology, from 2012 to 2016. Following that, from 2016 to 2018, Shahin pursued a Master's Degree in Computer Science at the University of Waterloo.

In terms of certifications, Shahin obtained the following additional qualifications: "Product Management: Communication for Product Managers" and "Product Management: Designing and Running Experiments" from Skillsoft in November 2020, "Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner" from IBM in August 2020, "IBM Blockchain Essentials V2" from IBM in July 2020, "App Modernization Basics" from IBM in May 2020, and "IBM Agile Explorer" from IBM in May 2020.
