Ann Ames has a diverse work experience. Ann recently became the Chief Executive Officer at the Independent Insurance Agents of Nebraska in July 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of State Government Affairs at Windstream from July 2021 to July 2022. Ann also worked as the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer at Lancaster County from May 2017 to July 2021. Ann'searlier experience includes working as the Executive Director at the Papillion Community Foundation from February 2010 to August 2017.

Ann Ames attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln but did not complete a degree there. Ann later pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree at the University of San Francisco.
