Colleen DiPirro served as the president and chief executive officer of the Amherst Chamber of Commerce for approximately 35 years, retiring in 2017. Under her leadership, the Amherst Chamber of Commerce experienced an exponential increase in both members and budget. Well known for her community leadership, DiPirro is the recipient of many honors, including the Buffalo Business First Women of Influence Lifetime Achievement Award and the Top 100 Most Influential People in Western New York, as well as Daemen College Citizen of the Year and she was the first woman honored as the Executive of the Year by the Buffalo Sales and Marketing Executives. DiPirro serves on the Public Policy Committee for the Erie County Industrial Development Agency and is a member of the Board of Directors for Roswell Park Cancer Institute and Shea’s Performing Arts Center.
