Jon Check, MBA has a wealth of work experience in the culinary industry. Jon began their career in 2008 as a Line Cook for Savoy. In 2009, they moved to Gramercy Tavern as a Line Cook. In 2010, they were a Line Cook and Garde Manger for Locanda Verde. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Sous Chef for NoHo Hospitality Group and Buttermilk Channel. In 2013, they joined Dig as a Director of Culinary Operations, Area Chef/Director, and Multi-unit Culinary Operator and Chef. In 2021, they became the Chief Curry Officer for Proper Indian, and from 2020 to 2021, they held the roles of VP of Culinary and Operations, Head of Operations, and Head of Growth for INDAY NYC.
Jon Check earned a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2006, majoring in Creative Writing and African Studies. Jon then attended the Institute of Culinary Education, before obtaining their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Baruch College in 2021, with a focus in Entrepreneurship/Sustainability.
