Elliott York

Program Manager - Strategic Projects (northern Australian Operations) at Incitec Pivot

Elliott York has a diverse work experience in the field of electrical and instrumentation engineering. Elliott began their career as a Graduate Electrical Engineer at Incitec Pivot Limited in 2009, where they worked on site-wide maintenance engineering support for six different plants. Elliott supervised and managed personnel, wrote maintenance procedures, and implemented projects to improve functional safety and plant efficiency. York then transitioned to the role of Electrical Maintenance Engineer, where they performed upgrades to electrical equipment and troubleshooted breakdown situations. Elliott also investigated electrical incidents, conducted risk assessments, and project managed electrical installations. In 2014, they took on the position of Reliability and Improvement Engineer - Electrical & Instrumentation, focusing on the development and implementation of maintenance strategies for critical equipment. Three years later, they became the Responsible Electrical Engineer, taking on additional responsibilities for electrical safety, functional safety, and hazardous area management. In 2018, they were promoted to the role of Lead EIC Engineer (Reliability and Improvement), where they managed a team of 10 personnel across two work sites and was responsible for various plants and projects. Throughout their career, York has demonstrated expertise in engineering design, risk assessment, project management, and mentoring junior engineers. Prior to their role at Incitec Pivot Limited, they gained experience as an Electrical Engineer - Vacation Student at Rio Tinto in 2007.

Elliott York obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from James Cook University from 2003 to 2008. Prior to that, they received a Year 12 Certificate - Overall Position (OP): 1 from The Cathedral School between 1998 and 2002.
