Terry O'Day

Chief Operating Officer / CoFounder at In-Charge Energy

Terry O'Day has a diverse work experience spanning across various sectors. In 1996, O'Day worked as a Senior Analyst for Edison Enterprises, a subsidiary of Edison International, where they were responsible for strategic planning and business development for four retail companies. O'Day then went on to co-found EV Rental Cars in 1998, where they served as the President and managed various aspects of the company, including profit and loss performance, strategic planning, operations, and marketing.

In 2001, O'Day became the Past Board Chair for the Coalition for Clean Air. From 2003 to 2011, O'Day held the position of Executive Director at the Environment Now Foundation, where they had general management responsibility and oversaw multiple staff members and grants.

In 2011, O'Day joined NRG Energy and EVgo as the Vice President, contributing to the growth and success of EVgo's charging networks. O'Day then moved on to innogy eMobility US in 2018, working as the Chief Strategy Officer and EVP, responsible for devising corporate strategy and leading market development activities for innogy in North America.

Since 2019, O'Day has been serving as the Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of In-Charge Energy, an energy solutions company focused on electrifying the transportation industry.

Additionally, O'Day served on the Santa Monica City Council from 2010 to 2020, where they held the position of Mayor Pro Tempore. During their tenure, they oversaw a range of services and led efforts to update the city's General Plan, reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Terry O'Day pursued their education chronologically, beginning with their time at Holy Ghost Prep from 1987 to 1991. Lastly, Terry completed their education at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, obtaining an MBA degree between 2002 and 2004.
