Jorge Pliego Seguin

Jorge Pliego Seguin has a diverse range of work experience spanning several industries. Starting in 1990, they worked as a Treasury Group Manager at Procter & Gamble for two years. Jorge then moved on to Sara Lee Branded Apparel, where they served as a Finance Manager for Mexico and Central America. At Sara Lee, Jorge played a significant role in the company's growth, helping it become the market leader in men's underwear.

In 1995, Jorge joined Kellogg Company in Mexico as a Treasury and Financial Planning Manager before being promoted to Director of Finance. During their time at Kellogg, they integrated the finance department with sales, marketing, and supply chain organizations, transforming finance into a highly valued business partner team.

Jorge's career continued to progress, and in 2001, they joined Avery Dennison as the Treasury Director and later became the Director of Finance for South America. At Avery Dennison, they successfully led the region through a newly created SOX Compliance initiative and received the Leadership Excellence Award for superior asset management.

In 2007, Jorge joined Diageo as the Director of Finance for Mexico and later became the Senior Vice President of Finance for West Latin America. At Diageo, they directed and supported the finance and operational functions for one of the largest markets within the company, delivering double-digit growth in domestic operations and overseeing global audit and risk processes.

Jorge then transitioned to AgileThought in 2016, where they served as the CFO. AgileThought is a leading IT solutions company, and Jorge's role focused on value creation and prioritizing people.

In 2022, Jorge took on the role of Chairperson of the Audit Committee for a US-based Fintech company. Shortly after, they also became the Chief Financial Officer at Improving. Both roles demonstrate Jorge's expertise in finance and their ability to provide strategic guidance and leadership.

Throughout their career, Jorge Pliego Seguin has consistently demonstrated their financial acumen, leadership skills, and ability to drive growth and value-creation.

Jorge Pliego Seguin has a diverse education history, with degrees spanning multiple areas of study. In 1982, they attended the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, where they studied Finanzas and received a degree in Administracion in 1986. Later, in 1988, they pursued an MBA in International Finance from the European University - Barcelona, completing their studies in 1989. Jorge further enhanced their academic qualifications by attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2015, where they participated in an Exec. Ed. Program focused on Global Strategy.
