Peretz Partensky

Co-founder and CEO at ImmuneBridge

Peretz Partensky is a co-founder and CEO of ImmuneBridge, a company focused on developing cell therapies for immune systems in need. Peretz began their role at ImmuneBridge in July 2020.

Prior to their current position, Peretz served as a venture partner at Pioneer Fund starting in September 2017, where they worked with the YC Alumni Community to invest in YC Companies, specializing in healthcare and life sciences.

From June 2018 to October 2019, Peretz worked at Vim as the VP of Product and Data. During their time there, they collaborated with healthcare payers to develop programs and incentives for health systems to transition to value-based care reimbursement models. Peretz also led a data science team in developing referral algorithms to optimize patient access, outcomes, and cost efficiency, as well as developed referral management and patient scheduling systems.

Before Vim, Peretz co-founded Cheetah Technologies in January 2015 and served as the Chief Data Scientist. Peretz helped raise $67M for the company and led initiatives in product data pipeline, predictive analytics, customer satisfaction, revenue growth strategy, and data team recruiting. Peretz left Cheetah Technologies in June 2018.

Peretz was also a co-founder, board member, and head of product at Sourcery, a B2B commerce and payments platform, from November 2011 to April 2017. The company raised $11M and was ultimately acquired.

In addition to their entrepreneurial ventures, Peretz co-founded and resided at Langton Labs, a science and art collective and community-oriented interactive space, from August 2007 to November 2016.

Peretz also worked as a synergist at Synergy Strike Force from December 2010 to April 2011, where they were a contractor at a Communications and Humanitarian Development NGO. Their projects included maintaining a wireless mesh network in the city of Jalalabad, providing internet access to over 50,000 people.

Peretz has a research background as well. Peretz was a visiting researcher at Peking University's Center for Theoretical Biology from June 2008 to August 2008, as part of a National Science Foundation International Fellowship. Peretz gave talks at various science institutions in Beijing during this time.

Before that, they were a Physiology Summer Fellow at the Marine Biological Laboratory in 2006. Their research projects included studying microtubule growth using single molecule microscopy, exploring RNAi phenotypes of C. elegans development, and investigating membrane dynamics of osteoblasts.

Peretz got their start at the Linux Fund in June 2000, where they served as the Architect Penguin. Peretz handled public relations, marketing, and operations for the grant-awarding non-profit startup.

Overall, Peretz Partensky brings a wealth of experience in entrepreneurship, healthcare, life sciences, and research to their current role as the co-founder and CEO of ImmuneBridge.

Peretz Partensky began their education at Maimonides School, where they studied from 1994 to 1996. Peretz then attended Newton North High School, but dropped out in 1998. In 1999, they enrolled at Brandeis University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Physics, Math, and English. Peretz continued their education at the University of Cambridge from 2003 to 2004, earning a Master of Philosophy degree in European Literature. Peretz went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Biophysics at the University of California, San Francisco, completing their studies from 2004 to 2010. In 2013, they also participated in the Y Combinator program during the winter season.
