Jeansil Bruyère currently serves as a Board Member in the Refugee Protection Division at the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada since October 2020. Prior experience includes roles as Director of Policy & Communications at Philanthropic Foundations Canada, Executive Director at AIDS Community Care Montreal, and National Human Rights Conference Coordinator at Montréal Pride. Additional positions include Communications Coordinator at the Mile End Legal Clinic, Alumni Engagement and Employer Outreach Coordinator at McGill University’s Faculty of Law, and Co-Founder of the Trans* Legal Clinic. Jeansil holds a Baccalaureate in Civil Law and Common Law from McGill University and a Baccalaureate in Arts focusing on Communication Studies, Religious Studies, and Diversity & Globalization from Concordia University. Educational background also includes a Double DEC Trilingue from Collège International des Marcellines.
