Sophie Walker is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in operations, production, and editorial management. Currently serving as the Director of Operations & Production and Portfolio Director at Immediate Live since January 2021, Sophie previously held the position of Managing Director for the Food & Festivals Division and Editorial Director at River Street Events since August 2013. Sophie's earlier roles include Head of Editorial & Content at BBC Haymarket Exhibitions from September 2006 to August 2013 and Content Manager for the Great Big Food Show at dmg world media in 2005. Sophie's career began as Group Marketing Manager at Single Market Events from 1998 to 2002. Sophie Walker earned a BA Hons in French/Italian from the University of London, where studies took place from 1992 to 1996, and completed education at Taunton School from 1983 to 1992.
