Michael R. Briggs is a Scientific Advisor at iMetabolic Biopharma Corporation. Prior to this, they were an Adjunct Professor at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in the Department of Environmental and Population Health. Michael has also worked as a Consultant for Blend Therapeutics, Inc. and is the President & CSO of Woodland Pharmaceuticals, LLC DBA "Woodland Biosciences".

Michael R. Briggs has a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from University of California, Berkeley. Michael was a postdoctoral fellow in molecular genetics at University to Texas Southwestern Medical Center and UT Southwestern Medical Center. Michael was an EMBO fellow in Drosophila eye development at University of Zurich. Michael has a BA in Biology from University of Delaware. Michael is currently a postdoctoral fellowship in molecular genetics at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.
