Chris Oltrogge

Principal Engineer at iManage

Chris Oltrogge has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Chris started their career as a Programmer/Analyst Intern at West Publishing in 1995, where they developed and supported software in PL/I for CD-ROM products. Chris then worked at Secure Computing Corporation as an Associate Computer Scientist, developing system tools in C for a POSIX compliant microkernel.

In 1998, they joined Gooitech as a Software Engineer, where they developed multithreaded communication software in C++ for wireless data communication solutions. Chris then transitioned to iManage in 1999 as a Senior Software Engineer, before moving on to become a Staff Engineer - Team Lead at Interwoven in 2003. At Interwoven, they led a team and worked on various projects until 2009.

From 2009 to 2011, Chris worked at Autonomy iManage as a Staff Engineer - Team Lead, overseeing the development cycle for enterprise management solutions. Chris was responsible for the development of WorkSite Server, a C++ product deployed on Windows Server, interfacing with database and file servers, and integrating with Autonomy's IDOL search engine.

In 2011, they joined HP Software as a Staff Engineer and worked on engineering projects until 2015. Finally, they returned to iManage in 2015 as a Principal Engineer.

Throughout their career, Chris has demonstrated strong technical skills in programming languages such as C, C++, PL/I, and a deep understanding of TCP/IP and microkernel-based systems. Chris has also gained experience in leading teams and overseeing the full development cycle of various products.

Chris Oltrogge earned a B.A. degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Luther College, where they attended from 1992 to 1996. Following this, Chris pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from DePaul University, completing the program from 2007 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, Chris has also obtained certifications in Programming Foundations: Secure Coding and Programming Foundations: Web Security from LinkedIn in December 2020.
