Candice Tolliver Burns currently serves as a Strategic Advisor to the CEO at Friendship Public Charter School since December 2022 and holds a position as a Board Member at Imagination Stage, Inc. since September 2022. Previously, Candice was the Chief Communications Officer at IDEA Public Schools from September 2021 to October 2022 and at Friendship Public Charter School from December 2015 to August 2021. Additional experience includes serving as Principal at The GROUP from October 2012 to August 2015 and as Director of Strategic Communications for the U.S. DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety during the Obama Administration from March 2009 to October 2012. Candice holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Georgia State University and a Graduate Certification from the Harvard Graduate School of Education's Charter School Institute.
