Gerald Meurant has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and project management. Gerald is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at illumo robotics since October 2021. Before this, they worked at Lyra Network from July 2018 to October 2021, where they held multiple roles including Software Development Engineer and Project Manager. In their role as Project Manager, Gerald managed various projects including POS management and company billing applications. Gerald led a team of 15 people and coordinated development efforts. Prior to Lyra Network, they worked at the Research Institute of Systems Planning, Inc from July 2007 to December 2008 as a System Engineer, where they were involved in a WiMAX infrastructure project. Gerald was the sole foreigner in the Japanese company and worked entirely in Japanese. Gerald has also worked at Tecsidel as a Software Engineer from November 1999 to March 2006.

Gerald Meurant obtained a Diplôme d'ingénieur in Génie logiciel from ESIGELEC : ÉCOLE D'INGÉNIEURS-ES GÉNÉRALISTES, where they studied from 1996 to 1999. Later, in 2006 and 2007, they attended Kai Nihongo School to study the Japanese language. No degree was specified for this period.
