Christer Swartz is a seasoned network architect and cybersecurity specialist with extensive experience spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Director of Industry Solutions at Illumio since January 2020, Christer focuses on designing and implementing cybersecurity architectures for the Federal industry, emphasizing real-world Zero Trust strategies against ransomware. Prior roles include Principal Technical Marketing Engineer at Illumio, where Christer promoted cloud security solutions, and Consulting Engineer at Palo Alto Networks, leading a global team in hybrid cloud network architecture design. With earlier positions at industry leaders such as Nokia, Ariba, Microsoft, Netflix, First Franklin Financial, Hewlett Packard, Swisscom, and Logic Communications, Christer has developed a comprehensive skill set in network design, security, and implementation across diverse environments. Christer holds a BA in Philosophy from San Jose State University.
