Tiy Goddard has worked in organizational and employee development at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign since 2007. Earlier that year, she received an M.B.A. with a Certificate in Public Management from Stanford University, where she also holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations. She is passionate about volunteerism and community empowerment. An AmeriCorps alumna, Tiy spent most of her pre-M.B.A. career in nonprofits advancing economic development in East Palo Alto, an urban community of need in the heart of Silicon Valley. In that capacity she both worked inside and served on boards of small, growing nonprofits with an emphasis on community engagement. In addition, she spent some time in the private sector in operations, human resources, and accounting inside a prominent San Francisco hospitality company.
Tiy lives in Champaign with her husband and their two young sons. She has served on several campus committees at the university, and she volunteers locally with community organizations close to her heart.
