Unathi Mbelu's work experience includes a role as a Software Tester at Absa Group starting in 2023. Prior to this, they worked at iLAB as an Associate SQA Engineer from October 2020. They also had a role as an SQA Engineer Intern at iLAB from September 2019 until October 2020. Before that, Unathi worked as an IT Intern at BCX from February 2018 to September 2019. Their earliest work experience was as a Front shop assistant at MarineWorld Pharmacy from January 2016 until an unspecified end date in 2017.

Unathi Mbelu attended Walter Sisulu University from 2012 to 2015, where they pursued a Diploma in Information Technology.
