Ny Borgerlige has been a council member at Ikast-Brande Kommune since 2006. Prior to that, they worked as a dagplejer at Herning Kommune from 1996 to 2006. Ny also worked as a tekstilarbejder at Femilet A/S from 1988 to 1996.

Ny Borgerlige has completed a Danish education in child care (Dagplejeuddannelsen - Modul 1+2) from SOSU Østjylland, a Campus Vejle education in Danish and English, and an education in Øreakupunktur for massører from Århus fysiurgisk massageskole. Additionally, Ny Borgerlige has completed educations in Ansigts- og hovedbundsmassage and Triggerpunkts terapi from Århus fysiurgisk massageskole, becoming a certified Lægeeksamineret fysiurgisk massør. Finally, Ny Borgerlige is also certified as a Zumba instruktør from Randers and has a Pædagogisk assistent education in Pædagogik from Social- og sundhedsskolen midt og vestjylland.
