Usha Nehru Patel is a seasoned academic leader with extensive experience in the field of design education. Currently serving as the Director of Academic Affairs at the Indian Institute of Art and Design since October 2014, Usha Nehru Patel plays a crucial role in institutional development and strategic planning. Prior to this position, Usha Nehru Patel was the Head of Departments at Pearl Academy of Fashion from June 2003 to October 2014, where significant diversification of design programs occurred. Usha Nehru Patel's career also includes roles as a Senior Faculty at the National Institute of Fashion Technology from June 1996 to July 2003 and a Lecturer at M.S. University Faculty of Fine Arts from March 1987 to April 1996. Usha Nehru Patel holds multiple qualifications, including a Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education from Nottingham University and several degrees in Fine Arts from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
