Maria Matesic has a strong background in strategy, communications, and operations. Maria began their career at TD in 2002 as an Associate in Communications & Development. Over the years, Maria has held various senior management roles at TD, including Senior Manager of Strategy & Chief of Staff, Senior Manager of Strategy, Communications & Employee Experience, and Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives. Maria has also served as a Manager of Integrated Initiatives and a Business Process Manager. In their most recent role at IGM Financial Inc., Maria is the Director of Corporate Operations and Employee Communications.

Maria Matesic obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from York University, which they completed from 1995 to 2000. Maria then pursued a Post Graduate Certificate in Public Relations from Humber College, completing it in 2001. Additionally, they obtained a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner certification from Prosci in 2021.
