Marc Davidson is a seasoned professional in the fire service with extensive experience, currently serving as the Deputy Safety Programs Manager at the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department since July 2024. In addition to this role, Marc is an Everyone Goes Home Virginia State Co-Lead Advocate for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and has been actively involved in technical writing for NFPA 1020 as a Principal Member of the Technical Writing Committee. Marc also contributes to the Fundamentals of Fire Fighter Skills 5th Edition textbook as a writer and editor and participates in the IFSTA Company Officer Textbook Committee. With experience as an instructor for various training organizations, Marc has a robust background in fire service operations and safety, demonstrated during a long tenure with Fairfax County Fire & Rescue, where multiple roles were held from Safety Officer to Shift Leader. Current educational pursuits include working towards an Associate's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health from Columbia Southern University.
