Hideshi Akema has extensive work experience in finance and administration, with a focus on closing processes, budgeting, tax filing, and variance analysis. Hideshi has held various managerial roles in companies such as ifm, Subway, MCM Worldwide, Dayton Progress, MILLEPORTE, Burberry, Paramount Home Entertainment, and Hermès. In these positions, they have reported to various executives and been responsible for financial reporting and analysis, tax compliance, and managing financial systems.

Hideshi Akema has a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from Chuo University, which they obtained from 1983 to 1987. Hideshi also holds a Doctor of Law degree in Company Law from Chuo University, obtained from 1999 to 2003. In addition, they have a certification as a Zeiri-shi (Certified Tax Accountant) from the Nihon Zeirishi Gakkai (Japan Association of Tax Accountants), which they obtained in 2006.
