Masoud Bashari has extensive experience in the field of AI, machine learning, and data analysis. Masoud currently holds the position of Director of AI and Software Development at IEMS Ltd., where they are leading a joint project with Ciena and the University of Ottawa. Their responsibilities include designing the architecture of a fleet management and energy trading platform and supervising Ph.D. students. Prior to this role, Masoud was a Data Scientist and Associate Software Architect at IEMS Ltd., working on a joint project with Bluwave-AI and the University of Ottawa. In this position, they designed and developed deep neural networks for forecasting electrical loads and renewable energy generation.

Before joining IEMS Ltd., Masoud worked as a Visiting Research Scholar at Ryerson University. Masoud was involved in a project focused on stop word detection in the streaming content of Twitter. Their contributions included developing mathematical models for term-frequency time-series and implementing data preprocessing and visualization scripts.

Masoud Bashari has an extensive education history. Masoud started their educational journey in 2000 at the National Organization for the Development of Exceptional Talents (Sampad) where they pursued a Diploma in Mathematics until 2007.

Following this, they attended Ferdowsi University of Mashhad from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

In 2011, Masoud Bashari joined the University of Tehran, where they completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from 2011 to 2013.

Masoud continued their academic pursuits at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from 2013 to 2019.

During this time, they also attended Toronto Metropolitan University as a visiting student from 2016 to 2019, focusing on Electrical and Computer Engineering.

In addition to their academic degrees, Masoud Bashari obtained the "Verified International Academic Qualifications" certification from the World Education Services in August 2020.
