Gayle Allard, PhD, is a Professor of Economics at IE Business School since September 2002 and has served as the former Vice-Chancellor of Research for IE University and Chair of the Economics Department. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Economist at The Economist Intelligence Unit, where Gayle specialized in forecasting and reporting on the Spanish economy and financial markets, and at JP Morgan, contributing to economic research for the Treasury room. Gayle also taught economics at various institutions, including ESCP Europe and the University of Maryland, focusing on a range of economic subjects. Gayle holds a PhD in Economics from the University of California, Davis, in addition to two master's degrees in International Affairs from Johns Hopkins SAIS, with concentrations in European Political Economy and Latin America.
