Jonathan Pentecost has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Jonathan most recently served as a Senior Software Engineer at Identitii, starting in August 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Just Eat Takeaway.com as a Senior Software/Platform Engineer from May 2020 to February 2023. Jonathan also held the role of a Devops Engineer at Points from July 2019 to April 2020 and worked as a Software Engineer/Devops at Coral Health from April 2019 to June 2019.

Before that, they worked at Brankas as a Senior System Developer/Devops from April 2018 to April 2019, where they utilized technologies such as grpc, Go, Helm, Terraform, Vault, Kubernetes, Docker, GCP, and DroneCI. In September 2017, they briefly served as a Senior Software Engineer at Karhoo.

Jonathan also worked at Karhoo as a Devops from February 2017 to June 2017, contributing to the backend Golang microservices hosted on Google Cloud Platform using Kubernetes. Prior to this, they worked at Tegocover as a Full Stack Developer from November 2016 to February 2017, where they focused on rebuilding the Django backend, handling Heroku deployments, dockerizing the web application, implementing a test suite, integrating a top-up credit system, and customizing the Django Admin.

In their earlier career, Jonathan served as a Senior Software Engineer at Karhoo from August 2015 to November 2016, working on integrating third-party APIs to the Django-based core backend using a service-oriented architecture with RabbitMQ. Jonathan began their career as a Software Engineer at Industrie IT from April 2015 to July 2015, where they built websites and prototype mobile applications, as well as designed a microservice prototype.

Jonathan Pentecost attended the University of Wollongong from 2007 to 2011, where they pursued a Bachelor of Computer Science degree with a focus on Security and Enterprise Systems. Jonathan completed their studies in 2011.
