Shannon M. is an Associate Managing Director at ideas42 since June 2019, contributing to initiatives that leverage behavioral science to solve complex social issues across over 35 countries. Prior to this role, Shannon served as a Candidate for the Suffolk County District Attorney in 2018 and held the position of Director at Roca, Inc. from June 2014 to January 2018, overseeing programs for high-risk young men in various Massachusetts communities. Shannon's extensive legal experience includes a tenure as a Trial Attorney at the Committee for Public Counsel Services from 2002 to 2012, where responsibilities included representing defendants in serious felony cases and supervising new and experienced lawyers. Earlier legal career highlights also include roles as a Trial Attorney for the Federal Defenders of San Diego and a Litigation Associate at Day Pitney LLP, focusing on corporate disputes. Shannon holds a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from the University of San Diego.
