Andrew Fortus is an experienced engineer and prototype specialist with a diverse background spanning multiple industries. Currently serving as a Prototype Engineer at Idealab since February 2024, Andrew previously held roles including Machine Shop Manager and Robotics Test Engineer at OffWorld, where project management of a hardware testing campaign was a key focus. Andrew's expertise in rapid prototyping was also demonstrated at OnRobot as a Prototype Engineer and at the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator as a Machine Shop Manager. With a solid foundation in aerospace engineering from UNSW, Andrew's career includes critical engineering roles with Airbus Group Australia Pacific, where significant contributions were made to the C-130J System Safety Program, and earlier experience in mechanical and manufacturing engineering at Turbosmart Pty Limited. Additional skills in web development were honed at freeCodeCamp, further enhancing Andrew's multidisciplinary capabilities.
