Senior Engineer | Irrigation Segment Technical Consultant at Idaho Power

Nathan Black, PE, is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in water resource management and infrastructure projects. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer and Irrigation Segment Technical Consultant at Idaho Power since September 2022, Nathan is responsible for enhancing processes for irrigation customers and providing support for Agricultural Representatives across Idaho and Oregon. Prior to this role, Nathan worked as a Water Utility Engineer for the City of Walla Walla, focusing on water infrastructure projects and collaboration with various stakeholders. Previous engineering positions include Assistant Utility Engineer at J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. and Project Engineer at WGM Group, Inc., where Nathan managed the design and implementation of water and wastewater systems. Nathan's early career at Idaho Power involved investigating the environmental impacts of hydropower projects. Nathan holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Idaho.
