Robert Stavby has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Robert started their career as a Production Engineer at Ericsson Microwave Systems AB in 1994, where they were responsible for surface mounted circuit board production techniques and implemented a quality feedback system for circuit board production.
In 1997, they joined Volvo Powertrain AB as a Systems Engineer, where they were responsible for the hardware of the engine management system ECU. Robert ensured robustness in terms of vibration, temperature, and EMC, and served as the contact person for components towards engine projects, software teams, and suppliers.
From 2001 to 2002, Stavby worked as a Software Developer at Ericsson Mobile Data Design. Robert'sresponsibilities included embedded system and data communications design work, with a focus on driver development in areas such as network protocol, memory handling, drivers for hard disks, and file systems.
Robert then moved on to QRtech AB, where they worked as a Software Developer from 2002 to 2006. Following that, they joined Syrén Software AB as a Software Engineer in 2006. In this role, Stavby served as a project manager and software developer for major AUTOSAR based truck ECU nodes. Robert specialized in low-level software and bootloaders.
From 2012 to 2015, Stavby held two positions simultaneously. Robert worked as a Lead SW Engineer at Delphi, leading an active safety project for Renault. Robert introduced agile methodologies and served as a Scrum Master. Additionally, they worked as a Project Manager at Mecel AB, managing customized AUTOSAR projects and leading a bootloader common product development.
In 2015, Stavby joined Qamcom Research and Technology as a Senior System Engineer, and from 2019 to the present, they have been working at Ictech as a Senior System Safety Engineer and Safety Manager. At Ictech, they have held various safety engineering and safety managerial roles, including assignments at Volvo Truck Emobility, SentientPlus, and Volvo Autonomous Solutions. Robert has expertise in safety engineering, SAFe, ISO26262, and ISO21448.
