Glenn Canning has a diverse work experience in facility management and maintenance. Glenn started their career as a Maintenance Technician at The J.M. Smucker Company in 1993 and worked there until 2001. Glenn then joined Munson Medical Center as the Director of Maintenance at POMH, where they worked for 16 years before joining Bavarian Inn Lodge & Conference Center as a Facility Manager. After working there for almost a year, they moved on to Helen Newberry Joy Hospital & Healthcare Center as a Facility Director in 2019. Currently, they are the Director of Facilities at Ingham County, a position they have held since 2023.
Glenn Canning earned their Bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership from Central Michigan University in the years 2009 to 2012. Before that, they completed an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Electrical/Electronics Maintenance and Repair Technology from Northwestern Michigan College during 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, Glenn obtained their first Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from California State University, Monterey Bay between 1999 and 2001. Their education began with an AS degree in Industrial Technology/Technician from Hartnell College from 1994 to 1998.
