Paul J. McCracken

Paul J. McCracken, Ph.D. has extensive experience in the field of medical imaging and cardiac safety solutions. Paul J. has held various positions at ICON plc, starting in 2016 as the Vice President and Global Head of Medical Imaging, and later becoming the Vice President and Global Head of Medical Imaging and Cardiac Safety Solutions. Paul J. also served as the Blue Bell Site Head and North Wales Site Head at ICON plc. Additionally, they have experience at Eisai US, where they held roles such as Senior Director of the Imaging Center of Excellence and Director of Imaging. Prior to that, they worked at Merck Research Laboratories as a Senior Research Physicist in Imaging, specializing in the development of imaging biomarkers and strategies for assessing efficacy and safety of molecular and biologic entities. Dr. McCracken has also been involved in professional organizations, such as the Irish American Business Chamber & Network, where they served as Co-Vice President and Director of the Board of Directors.

Paul J. McCracken, Ph.D. pursued their higher education in a variety of disciplines. From 1987 to 1991, they attended Cherokee High School. Paul J. then obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physics with a minor in Music from The College of New Jersey between 1991 and 1996. In 1995, they participated in an exchange program at the University of Limerick, studying engineering. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Physics/Medical Physics at Wright State University from 1996 to 1998. Lastly, from 1998 to 2004, they attended the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in Imaging.
