ShaQuill Thomas has a diverse work experience in various roles within the field of information security and technology. ShaQuill has worked at iCIMS since 2017, initially as a Senior Security Analyst and currently as the Principal Security Engineer. At Verizon, they were a Systems Engineer from 2015 to 2017, managing the Mobile App Analytics project and ensuring proper integration with the Mobile App Analytics tool. At Citi, they were a Global Information Security Analyst in 2014, leading projects to ensure the information integrity of the security incident management tool. ShaQuill also worked as a Technical Analyst Co-op at AvePoint in 2013, providing support and documentation to customers regarding the DocAve suite. Prior to that, they were an IT Systems Engineer specializing in mobile backend at McKinsey & Company in 2012, developing MDM policies for mobile devices. ShaQuill also worked as a Mobility Solutions Engineer Co-op at Nomura Securities in 2012, developing a memory indicator application for BlackBerry devices and supporting mobility devices. ShaQuill began their career as a Computer Technician Assistant at Essex County Vocational Schools in 2009.

ShaQuill Thomas attended Stevens Institute of Technology from 2010 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Engineering. During their time at Stevens Institute of Technology, they also pursued two Graduate Certificates in Wireless Communications and Secure Network Systems Design, both obtained in 2015. Following their undergraduate studies, ShaQuill continued their education at Stevens Institute of Technology and earned a Master's Degree in Systems Engineering in 2021.

In addition to their formal education, ShaQuill Thomas has obtained several certifications. ShaQuill became an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner through Amazon Web Services (AWS) in July 2023 and acquired the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in June 2023. ShaQuill also attained the InsightConnect Certified Specialist certification from Rapid7 in January 2023 and obtained the Top ATT&CK Techniques certification from AttackIQ in October 2022.

Furthermore, ShaQuill Thomas holds the title of Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, which they achieved in May 2021. Additionally, they have obtained various other certifications, including Metasploit Pro Certified Specialist from Rapid7 in August 2018, WEB APP SECURITY FUNDAMENTALS from Cybrary in March 2018, Certified Ethical Hacker from EC-Council in October 2017, Certified Sumo Power User from Sumo Logic in October 2017, and Certified Sumo Pro User, also from Sumo Logic, in October 2017.
